The Apple iStore at Bangalore
Apple has not opened its Apple stores on Indian shores yet but has tied up with RelianceDigital (its premium reseller) and has also setup a store at the Forum Mall, Bangalore through another reseller.
I went to the Apple iStore at Jayanagar, 5th block today to pick up a couple of accessories such as the cover for my iPhone and the protective laminate for the touchscreen so it does not get spoilt. Both are as usual imported from Hongkong and set me back by another Rs. 1400 but I had no choice.
By the way, Apple is making slow but firm progress in the Indian market for its products. Even now, purchasing an iMac, a Mac mini or a MacBook or an Apple TV is not easy but now its slowly changing with the introduction of these stores. The products still get imported from Singapore for South East Asia but its available in metros such as Bangalore.

If you want to buy an Apple iPhone in Bangalore, I strongly urge you buy directly from Airtel or Vodafone as iStore Bangalore wont service your iphone, replace parts etc., Their customer service sucks and they give a crappy bill which completely fades out in 3 months time(they wouldn’t issue a duplicate bill either)
