Casino Royale (2006) – Saw this movie premiering on Star Movies (albeit, it came after 2 years!) yesterday at 9 PM.

It was just an ‘ok’ Bond movie.

I have an entire collection of Bond movies right from 1960’s till date but this one, for some reason, did not excite me. Daniel Craig has played an ok role (his first) but somehow he does not bring the same charm as that of a Sean Connery or a Roger Moore or a more recent, Pierce Brosnan. I was expecting a better Bond movie than what I saw.

Also, the movie looked devoid of the famous James Bond gadgetry (there was a car etc. with some fancy gadgets) but it was found wanting for the most part.

The plot thickens towards the end but there is really not much suspense nor action – everything looked kind of predictable.

This is one Bond film I did not like despite what the reviewers might say.
