Apple Mac Store – review

leave a comment »

I have been playing around with the Apple Mac Store over the last weekend and found it absolutely enthralling and easy to use.

I wanted Keynote which I had been using on my MacBook White from quite a while. However, the iWork 09 website gives me the Keynote as part of the total package to buy and install or ship to.

I then tried to goto the Keynote website and it connected me to the Mac Store where I could purchase a licensed copy of Keynote for just $19.99 without Numbers and Pages (part of the bundle with iWork 09). Read the rest of this entry »

A couple of months ago, I got this fantastic opportunity to attend this training and found it extremely value adding. My friend recommended it to me and I jumped at this chance!

I am a products person and have been in this field from the beginning of my career so this is the only language I understand. I am in a job where I have to travel occasionally and work across distributed time zones and multiple cultures/people and it is a very valuable learning experience in building products and productized service offerings for the future! I bought my own custom Dodo case from SFO for my iPad. This is so beautiful and I saw my colleague have a similar one so ordered one online for myself while I was at SFO.

It’s really cool and looks like a real book!

amazon.com kindle2 (India)

amazon.com listened to me as I prayed for an International version of the kindle as Jeff Bezos wrote what sounded like music to my ears (rather what looked like a treat to my eye – since I was looking at the screen as I read it!)

I had blogged earlier here, here and here on how and why the amazon.com kindle is not available for purchase in India and who it’s competitors were and what were the tricks of the trade one had to adopt to lay one’s hands on one of them albeit with access to less than half the features.
